The play started when Turcotte deflected an initial slapshot from the point by Marshall Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y./U.S. National Under-18 Team) that forced a rebound Boldy was able to fire home for an early period lead.

After consistent back and forth play throughout the second period, an errant clearing attempt from Team Leopold ended up in the back of the net to even the score at two apiece.
